Foxy Ladies!

It's always a party when family comes to town! This weekend my sister, her husband and kids where able to come to Cedar City to visit. Well let's just say it's always crazy when they come to visit, and we all have so much fun. Last night my sister and I decided we wanted to play dress up, I know we are crazies but sometimes you got to be a little creative to make some fun. We decided to dress up in 70's clothes with huge afro wigs, besides dying of heat after putting the clothes and wig on we still rocked the outfits for a good half hour with sweat running down our faces haha. Good thing my mom had her smart phone on handy to snap a few pictures! This is what goes on at the Pena house...Enjoy:)

This cracks me up every time I see these pictures. Thanks to my brother Brandon who is on a mission for leaving some of his awesome shirts for us to dig through, and yes, those blue pant were my moms back in the 70's! Got to love them!
And to top it all off this is my nephew sing a song from the movie Rio called "Pretty Bird" he knows every single word to this song and the lyrics are freaking hilarious!

Thursday Date Night

Alright, since Tyler has to work all day today and my sweet family is coming to visit on Saturday, Tyler and I decided to have a date night on Thursday since the day we usually do it on is going to be occupied. I was totally fine with that because that gave us a leeway to actually go to the movies (Since Tyler only gets movies for free on weekdays..ugh) but it was totally fun. We went to the movie called Contagion which by the way made me so freaked out, I felt squeamish throughout the whole movie and felt like I was going to get sick. We invited my brother and his girlfriend to come with us which is always a party! After wards we went to my parents house and of course Tyler and Aaron played Halo for EVER while Alexis and I just sat there. Tyler and I ended up going home because we were a little bored. I just have to tell you all that I hadn't been having the best day yesterday. I've been really moody about so many things (no I'm not pregnant) but yesterday I decided to have a breakdown when I got home. Since I was sad my cute husband got up and walked out the door. I know that sounds terrible to leave your sad wife in distress haha but about 20 min later he came back with my favorite Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream called Half Baked, seriously it is so freaking delicious! Anyway I thought that was so sweet that he would think of me like that and it made my night so much better. All in all I'm so thankful that I am able to actually have date nights with my husband and I definitely wouldn't change it for anything, even if I'm having a bad day.
Personally I didn't really like this movie just because it brought a lot of fear to me haha there were quite a few famous people in it which made the movie a little dumb just like that movie Valentines Day that has wayyy too many famous people in it. I can't speak for everyone but I guess you can decide for yourself...

Ahhh! Pure Bliss I seriously love this ice cream more than I love a lot of things. If you don't know what this ice cream contains, it's vanilla and chocolate ice cream with huge chunks of cookie dough and gooey brownies! Yummmm!
Okay seriously you all don't know how much I freaking hate this game, let alone how much I hate the X-Box system in general.  It definitely sucks cause I have a husband that is obsessed with both. I guess I just have to deal with it most of the time, but to say the least I really want to take a hammer to all of it! Haha

Dinair Airbrush Makeup

Okay I know I'm overloading you all with blog post but I'm really liking this! Today I'm going to blog about my  baby....yes you read right my baby! Ha well..not that kind of a baby but a baby that I call Dinair Airbrush Make-up system. I was so excited to hear that my awesome husband wanted to buy me this for my birthday this year so I could start my career in make-up artistry and what more to do that with when you get an airbrush system for your birthday? I guess you could call me spoiled! So I've been experimenting on myself lately because I have no one else to do it on other than my mom. I'm just trying to get my practice in before I actually get certified, which to say the least I'm so excited about but don't know when that's going to happen cause it calls for big money! So I hope that One day I will be able to do that and begin my career! Here are a few photos of the airbrush make-up. Enjoy:)
My self without any makeup on. Yes, I know embarrassing, but who cares anyway?!
Me after I did my makeup with The Dinair Airbrush System. (Kind of bad lighting)
Here is my sister Bree without any makeup on.
Here She is after she tested out the airbrush system.

This Makeup is completely amazing. It has the most flawless coverage, and can basically cover any flaws that you have zits, scars, tattoos, dark spots ect. It's amazing what it can cover! It's also really great for your skin, which includes clearing up breakouts and you can totally sleep in this makeup and not worry about waking up in the morning with a bunch of zits, it's nothing like your ordinary store bought makeup!
*I'm also interested in trying this product out on other people to start making a portfolio for my up coming career, so if there is any of you beautiful ladies/High Schoolers and Brides out there that would like a completely FREE trial with this Airbrush System, feel free to leave a comment below, or message me on Facebook/Andi Nicholes. I also do really cool stenciling and have a variety to choose out of it you are wanting a costume/dress up makeup look.

Fashion Do!

Yes, Finally! I've been really into my clothes lately trying to put stuff together that would actually look cute, and some what fashionable. I've always been the girl to just throw on a pair of shorts with and ugly t-shirt and sandals and walk out the door. Not anymore I don't! I've totally been inspired by the urban trendy look that has been out for a couple years now. I've never been one to follow trends cause I've always liked to make my own but I think fashion has its tole on me. I have to give a little credit to my sister Bree and BFF Alexis because without seeing them in their cute urban attire all the time, I would have no hope! I've been really into the whole bun on the top of my head and red lip stain with winged eyeliner! I've been wearing skinny jeans like a saint too, it's kind of ridiculous cause I don't ever want to take them off! Any who, like I said I've never liked to follow trends, but this one is going to stick! Here is look of choice for the day and hopefully I can continue to keep this up cause it's just too darn cute!
I got this way cute long sleeve sweater for a great deal at Walmart for just $12 and this cute brown belt that  pulled off a pair of shorts that I had recently bought with a white T-shirt from Forever 21.
Don't mind the awesome dog in the pic. Ha Like I said I seriously wear these jeans everyday rolled up to make a cuff.
Okay so I have to give credit to my sister for my hair today, she left her DIY The Perfect bun, mad out of a sock at my parents house so I stole it and did my hair with it today. I actually really like it, it does make the perfect bun to say the least. Also my red lips that I can't leave the house without either! Ha maybe I will do a makeup tutorial about this look soon. It's quick, easy and looks great!

Labor Day and some Running!

So, this Labor day we had the opportunity to be involved in a family 1/2 marathon from Enoch to Parowan. To say the least it was amazing! It was so fun to be able to have all the aunts, uncles, and cousins together all at once for the first time in a long while. The half marathon began at 5:00 am on the Monday of Labor day. We were all supposed to run it but a few of us decided it would be fun to bike it as well. Keep in mind that this is 15 miles, so running or biking it is going to be a little difficult (Even my cute little 82 year old Grandpa ran 3 whole miles and then biked the rest) He is such a great example. All of us managed to make it to Parowan in about 2 hours. I'm so proud of all the people that did it because it was definitely strenuous. Our destination in Parowan was our Grandparents house where were were greeted with a lovely breakfast of Buckwheat Pancakes, eggs and sausage, nothing better than to have a nice breakfast waiting for you after a long bike ride and run to Parowan. The highlight of the morning was when Tyler was almost struck by a speeding car, it almost flashed before my eyes I was hysterical. Thank goodness he is okay. I love the times that I get to spend with my family, I love them all so much and hope that we can keep getting together on special holidays like this:)
