So, this Labor day we had the opportunity to be involved in a family 1/2 marathon from Enoch to Parowan. To say the least it was amazing! It was so fun to be able to have all the aunts, uncles, and cousins together all at once for the first time in a long while. The half marathon began at 5:00 am on the Monday of Labor day. We were all supposed to run it but a few of us decided it would be fun to bike it as well. Keep in mind that this is 15 miles, so running or biking it is going to be a little difficult (Even my cute little 82 year old Grandpa ran 3 whole miles and then biked the rest) He is such a great example. All of us managed to make it to Parowan in about 2 hours. I'm so proud of all the people that did it because it was definitely strenuous. Our destination in Parowan was our Grandparents house where were were greeted with a lovely breakfast of Buckwheat Pancakes, eggs and sausage, nothing better than to have a nice breakfast waiting for you after a long bike ride and run to Parowan. The highlight of the morning was when Tyler was almost struck by a speeding car, it almost flashed before my eyes I was hysterical. Thank goodness he is okay. I love the times that I get to spend with my family, I love them all so much and hope that we can keep getting together on special holidays like this:)
